Dr. Bawumia applauds Ghana’s athletics team

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia congratulated Ghanaian athletes who competed in the recently completed Commonwealth Games.

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia congratulated Ghanaian athletes who competed in the recently completed Commonwealth Games.
The Vice President said on his Facebook page that the country was proud of the athletes.


He specifically mentioned those who were successful in winning medals for the country.
“Kudos to Abraham Mensah (boxing bantamweight division silver medal), Joseph Commey (boxing featherweight division silver medal), Joseph Paul Amoah (200 meters bronze medal), Deborah Acquah (women’s long jump bronze medal), and Wahid Omar (bronze medal, boxing light welterweight division).


I also extend my congratulations to young Roger Haun “Manboora” III for winning two medals at the 2022 Unicycling World Championship in France.”
Meanwhile, he has disclosed that the government will work with other stakeholders to ensure that we realise our potentials in the sports industry, both on and off the pitch.
